Adding the lid to the mechanism, and now the hopper is complete! After this, would be the integration onto the Bowie robot chassis.
*Note: If you plan on driving your Bowie around a lot (who wouldn’t?) we recommend blue thread lock on the fastener threads. It’s possible some pieces may require sanding.
Fasteners required
- 4x M3 10mm
- 2x M3 16mm
- 6x M3 washers
- 6x M3 hex nuts

When you’re done this – congratulations! Keep at it and keep going until your Bowie is complete.
Attach the servo horn piece to the servo horn with 4x M3 10mm screws.
Get your sevo cover ready. Use hot glue on the edges of the servo end cap.
While the glue is still hot, attach the servo cover.
Congrats! These two pieces for moving the lid are complete.
Get your assembled lid. Attach right hand side of the lid to the servo horn piece with 2x M3 16mm screws.
Screw in the M end of the binding post on the left pivot.
Make sure it is flush.
Do the same for the right.
Make sure it is flush!
That’s it! You’ve completed your hopper lid!
