We’re adding the pieces that support the movement of the lid mechanism. This guide will show you where to place the servo and what pieces to attach.
*Note: If you plan on driving your Bowie around a lot (who wouldn’t?) we recommend blue thread lock on the fastener threads. It’s possible some pieces may require sanding.
Fasteners required
- 18x M3 10mm
- 2x Binding post
- 18x M3 washers
- 18x M3 hex nuts

Now for the lid. Get your 4 hopper lid pieces ready and lined up.
Use 6x M3 10mm screws to put them together.
Get your left pivot and left plate. Attach them with 2x M3 10mm screws.
*Note: You will need to undo these in a later step during integration, but that is down the line.

Use the F end of a binding post to attach the pivot washer to the left pivot. This may require some sanding.
Now, get your right plate and servo mount. Attach the servo mount to the right plate and attach it with 2x M3 10mm screws

Attach the servo mount end cap to the right plate with 2x M3 10mm screws.
Next is the right pivot. Attach it to the right plate with 2x M3 10mm screws.
Use the F end of a binding post to attach your other pivot washer to the right pivot.
Insert the motor into the mount. Attach it with 4x M3 10mm screws.
